How do we wire in our floats for standard Enclosed Control Duplex controllers?

Wiring per this diagram requires that both of the customer’s float switches are double pole.

The two float switches are labeled A and B on the diagram (FSA and FSB in this example.)  FSA is the switch that cuts on only one pump at a time, alternating between the two pumps each time it actuated.  FSB is the switch that is only actuated when FSA is already actuated, cutting on the second pump regardless of which pump FSA is already running

The following explains how to wire the float switches to the terminals 1-6 in the enclosure.

FSA:       Wire from terminal 1 through a contact on FSA over to terminal 2

Wire from terminal 4 through the other contact on FSA over to terminal 5

FSB:       Wire from terminal 1 through a contact on FSB over to terminal 3

Wire from terminal 4 through the other contact on FSB over to terminal 6
