XT Series Selection

In order to successfully size an XT Series contactor or starter, you will need to know the motor voltage, horsepower, coil voltage, and motor FLA (when selecting a starter). The contactor will be sized based on the motor voltage and horsepower, while the overload will be sized on the motor FLA (full load amps). Using this information, parts can be selected from Volume 5, Tab 1 of the catalog (split into sections below).

Additional XT Series components are available including relays, manual motor protectors and combination motor controllers. Selecting a relay will require knowing the contact configuration (number of normally open and normally closed poles) in addition to the resistive amperage of the application.
