Series rating: Charts that are available for BR and CH
Series rating is the combination of two or more OCPDs (over current protective devices) connected in series where the interrupting current rating of the downstream device/s is less than the interrupting current rating of the system. In other words, when a circuit breaker is used in a circuit having an available fault current higher than the marked interrupting breaker. The main, or most upstream, device always has to be able to clear the maximum available fault.
