Do Eaton generators have a battery charger?
All current Eaton generators include a battery charger to prevent the battery from dying when the generator is not running. The control terminal labeled T1 inside the generator is designed to have one leg connected from a 120 V circuit to provide a trickle charge. For Eaton generators being used in conjunction with Eaton residential ATS', this connection is provided from the load lug in the ATS labeled T1. The base of the lug has a spade terminal that can be used for connection to the wire from the generator T1 terminal. A fuse block should be mounted in the ATS to provide over-current protection for this circuit. A 5 amp 600 V type CC fuse should be used. The following link provides more detailed instructions on this connection.
